VERBAL INSPIRATION OF SCRIPTURES
. . . that the Holy Bible, as originally written, was verbally inspired and the product of Spirit-controlled men, and therefore, has truth without any admixture of error for its matter. The KJV is the preserved Word Of God in the English language. (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:19-21) TRINITY . . . there is only one living and true God, infinite in every excellence; that in the unity of the Godhead there are three personal distinctions — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit — yet one in substance and equal in every divine perfection. (Exodus 20:2,3; I Corinthians 8:6; I John 5:7) CREATION . . . that God created the heavens and the earth, including all life, “each after its own kind,” by direct act, and not by the process of evolution in six literal days. (Genesis 1,2; Colossians 1:16,17; John 1:3) SIN . . . that Adam by voluntary transgression fell from his sinless state in consequence of which all mankind are now sinners, not only by constraint, but by choice; and therefore under just condemnation without defense or excuse. (Genesis 3; Romans 5:10-19; Romans 1:13; Romans 1:32) BLOOD ATONEMENT . . . that Christ's redemption and forgiveness of sin is made available through His shed blood. (Ephesians 1:7) JUSTIFICATION BY FAITH . . . that faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ is the only condition of salvation from sin and this salvation is wholly by grace. (Acts 16:31; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-7; Romans 10:9) ETERNAL SECURITY . . . that all who take Christ as their Saviour are born from above instantaneously and are eternally secure in Christ. (John 10:28,29; Romans 8:35-39; Philippians 1:6) LOCAL CHURCH ATONOMY . . . that a local church is a congregation of immersed believers, associated by covenant of faith and fellowship of the Gospel; observing the Ordinances of Christ; governed by His laws; and exercising the gifts, rights and privileges invested in them by His Word. (Acts 2:41,42 I Corinthians 11:2; Ephesians 1:22,23; 4:11; Acts 20:27,28; Colossians 1:18; I Timothy 3:1-15; Ephesians 5:22,23; Acts 15:13-18) RESURRECTION OF THE BODY . . . in the resurrection of the bodies of the dead; that believers who sleep in Jesus will be raised at the coming of Christ for His church and caught up with transformed living saints to meet the Lord in the air, all reigning with Christ in Heaven-Eternal glory, and that the wicked shall be raised at the close of the Millennial Kingdom and stand in their bodies at the Great White Throne of Judgement to receive their sentence to eternal torment in Hell. (John 5:21-30; I Thessalonians 4:16; Revelation 7:9-17; 20:11-15) PRE MILLENNIAL RETURN OF CHRIST AND MILLENNIAL REIGN OF CHRIST . . . in the bodily, personal, pre millennial return of Jesus Christ to the earth; that He will come before the seven year tribulation period to catch away the saved, coming only into the air, and that He will come with all His saints at the close of the tribulation to judge the living nations and to set up His Kingdom on earth.
